The International Journal of EnergyWaterFoodNexus (EWFN) serves as a platform of advancing a new science Enterprise launched at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) through a global public-private partnership that seeks to provide sustainable and innovative solutions for energy, water and food security. The nexus approach is based on the premise that an action in one sector impacts the other. Therefore, the search for solutions must simultaneously investigate all three elements in a new science enterprise.
We invite authors to submit technical or review articles based on any one of these four Areas:
NEW SCIENCE ENTERPRISE
Research and technologies within and across disciplines focusing on existing and emerging knowledge about energy, water and food production.
Transformative innovative solutions to advancing efficiencies and sustainability in meeting energy, water and agricultural needs.
SCIENCE BASED POLICY AND DECISION MAKING
Research that addresses the role governments and organizations can play in advancing nexus-informed solutions through policy and programmatic support, as well as challenges faced in introducing new standard policies and practices.
GLOBAL ACCESS TO SAFE WATER
Research and technologies that maximize local, regional and global efforts in ensuring that rural communities around the world have access to secured safe drinking water.
